Using Elizabeth Weaver's Summer Blast Kit from Club Digital July 2012

Weekly Wonder at DSP

This past week I was privileged to be the weekly wonder at DSP. My layout with my friends cuties was in the front page and used as their facebook picture.

And since I am pretty sure I hadn't shared it with you here it is for further inspection.

 

I had the privilege of capturing pictures of a sweet friends babies and this is one of my favorites.

I knew French Blue Page Kit Plus by Meryl Bartho
would be perfect for the softness I wanted. The elements are so perfect for layering.

I overlayed the picture over the smoky gray backgorund and then overlayed the misty over the cardwood backgrounds.

Even Super Heroes

 

The back story... Before his birthday party I made all our guests capes that they would decorate the day of the party but I decided to make his extra special. I but his oval and a lightning bolt on one side just like he asked for and on the other side I added a B for his name. Well he didn't like it. I mean really didn't like it and here are the results of me trying to take his picture with the B. Poor little guy. 3 years later it is funny but at the moment...

I knew I wanted to use the birthday CD for this layout but I couldn't quite decide which one so using the colors provided by webfrau I found papers from lots of the kits. I remembered a layout I had seen recently and decided to use shapes to use all of the papers from different kits and this is what I came up with.

Valentine Day Tulips

I have been waiting to scrap these tulips since february. We always have a special valentine's day dinner and these are the tulips that adorned our table this year. The soft greens in this kit I knew would showcase them beautifully!
